2017 Victorian Arabian Championships

The weekend of the 4th & 5th of November saw two clubs in Victoria conduct their Arabian shows back to back at Tatura Equestrian Centre.

Saturday was the start of the Arabian Championships Victoria conducted by the YVAHAC group.

Their judges were Mrs Janet Court from the United Kingdom in ring 1 overseeing the halter classes and Jacqui Langfield from NSW in ring 2 with saddle horses.

The show entrants were good this year and right over the board a very strong line up of quality Arabian and Derivatives contended for the awards on offer.

The major awards of the show were hotly contested with some stunning horses vying for their chance to attain the Titles.

The Shiranna awards were judged by both judges with a wonderful line up of exceptional horses contending for the titles. The junior title going to the lovely Jacksons D'Artagnan, shown under Jacksons Arabians and Future Farms.

Karate Kid, shown under Burren-Dah Stud and Future Farms won the senior title.

Supreme Purebred Female was awarded to the yearling filly Pshamala W (Psholomar x Ajman Mulahn), bred, owned and shown by Westacres Arabians.

Supreme Derivative Female was awarded to the yearling filly Delilah SSA.

Supreme Purebred Gelding was awarded to Jericho W.

Supreme Derivative Gelding was awarded to Fersace FF.

Supreme Purebred Entire was awarded to Voyager W (Sir Charmed FF x Amira Mulahn), shown, owned and bred by Westacres Arabians.

Supreme Derivative Entire was awarded to Jacksons D'Artagnan (Wymeanda Forgotten Desire x Sir Charmed), shown under Jacksons Arabians and Future Farms.

Supreme Derivative Ridden was awarded to Kizashi.

Supreme Ridden Purebred was awarded to Balmoral MI.

The show was run very successfully with all comments coming in on a very positive response… In all a great show that gave competitors a great array of classes and saw competitors travelling from NSW as well as Victoria to attend.
